Ever wonder how to build a movie quality haunt set on a budget? Join Bart Butler (Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory) and Michael Edwards (Terror in the Corn) as they share tips, tricks and secrets as to how they create sets for their haunted attractions. Class Level: Beginner


Bart Butler and Michael Edwards

Bart Butler – is best known as the creator and owner of The Haunt House (now Phobius), but has been working in the Haunt Industry for over 25 years. He has also lent his talents to Haunted Verdun Manor (now Thrillvania), Dark Hour, Miller’s Thrillers, and now resides full time in Ohio as the Creative Director of The Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory. Butler is also the co-creator of the webisode series, “A Haunter’s Life” and works closely with his wife, Michelle on Brainchow Studios – creating high quality costuming for haunted attractions. With what little spare time he has, you can find him teaching at haunt conventions and attractions across the country.

Michael Edwards – has worked in the Haunt Industry for more than 27 years. He has managed, acted and built sets for Haunted Verdun Manor (now Thrillvania), Screams Haunted Theme Park, The Haunt House (now Phobius), Dark Hour and Dan’s Haunted House. In 2019, he accepted a full-time position at Terror in the Corn (located at Anderson Farms, one of the largest Agritainment venues in Colorado). He can also be seen in the webisode series, “A Haunter’s Life” and enjoys every opportunity to train actors and share his knowledge with others.
