Cancellation Statement

West Coast Haunters Convention Cancellation Update

With the heaviest of hearts, we are forced to call off WCHC due to the ongoing global pandemic. We have decided not to reschedule later in 2020 in the midst of such risk and uncertainty. We want to spread Halloween cheer, not viruses. On behalf of the high-risk members of our Halloween family, we ask that you stay home and avoid large public gatherings until a vaccine is available or herd immunity is achieved.

Thankfully, we were able to cancel this year’s festivities before investing significant funds, and the future is bright. We will return bigger and better than ever in 2021. The dates for next year are April 30 – May 2, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Lloyd Center, Portland.

The WCHC refund policy is simple:

If you already purchased tickets, you may choose to request a refund or keep them for 2021. Keeping them will lock in your price, and it’s the single best way you can help support WCHC right now. You can email us at sales@hauntersconvention.com to request a refund. If you do not respond, we will assume you want to keep your tickets for next year.

As always, we offer no-questions-asked refunds on tickets until 30 days before WCHC , and that’s now extended to March 30, 2021. That means you can keep your passes without risk and request a refund if your plans change.

Hotel reservations made with the WCHC rate code will be automatically canceled. If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation from the DoubleTree, please contact them directly to confirm: (503) 281-6111. If you keep your passes, you will need to make new reservations next year. Rooms will be released on January 1st, 2021.

All ticket sales have been closed and will resume next year. Thank you for your patience and understanding
WCHC is a labor of love, and we’re just a small volunteer board doing this from our homes, in addition to full-time jobs. All refund requests have to be processed manually, so please bear with us. This is a completely unexpected and unprecedented situation, and we’re now in uncharted waters, making it up as we go and doing the very best we can.

You are family, and we are committed to treating you the way we would want to be treated, with clear answers and the highest levels of professionalism and customer service. We’re very grateful for your love and support over the years and are very much looking forward to giving you an amazing show next year.
